The Family Medicine Clinic’s second facility was to be a 30,000 sq ft medical office building incorporating 15,000 sq ft of tenant office space on the lower level of the structure.  The top floor is 15,000 sq ft for the Family Medicine Clinic which will service six doctors and their staff along with an in-house physical therapy program.  A full in-house laboratory and x-ray room are included in the project in addition to exam rooms and offices for the physicians.  Commissioned by repeat clients, this project was completed in October 2012 and is located on Malvern Ave. in Hot Springs across from the Clinic’s current location designed by French Architects and completed in  1989.

The Clinic asked for a cutting-edge facility that was sensitive to the environment, equipped with modern amenities, and tailored toward a paperless bookkeeping system.  Energy-efficient geothermal heating and cooling systems are complemented by ample amounts of natural light brought deep into the building via clerestory windows.  Oversized roof overhangs shade the south façade from the hot summer sun and a highly reflective metal roof surface helps to reduce cooling loads.
