Hot Springs Junior Academy

The new Hot Springs Junior Academy is a new 150,000 SF project for the Hot Springs School District. The project includes a 1,000 seat auditorium, 2,200 seat basketball arena, full-size auxiliary gym, and a three-story classroom wing. Underneath the arena concourse is the weight rooms, coaches' offices, and rehabilitation spaces for the players. While connecting to the auditorium is the fine arts center containing choir, band, cheer, and dance.

The project sits adjacent to the existing high school and will host high school sporting events and performances throughout the year in conjunction with 7th-9th grade events. The large entry lobby doubles as the dining space for students during the week and hosts various other programs and meetings. The lobby is not only the main entry for the school, but was designed to be the central hub with the educational, fine arts, and athletic programs branching outwards.
