Mid America Traveling Exhibit Hall

Category:

Civic

Status:

Completed 2020

Location:

Hot Springs, Ar.

The Mid-America Science Museum Traveling Exhibit Hall project began as a collective idea back in 2015 when the board of the MASM came together with the City of Hot Springs and multiple community leaders with the hope of bringing  the broad array of traveling exhibits which crisscross the world every year to the visitors of Hot Springs.

This new facility consists of a large and flexible central exhibit space flanked on its north and south sides by various support spaces – a warming kitchen, audio/video/server room, climate controlled exhibit storage, utilities, miscellaneous storage and restrooms.

Although the exhibit hall is primarily intended to display traveling exhibits it was also designed to be flexible enough to host a myriad of other events throughout the year as time allows, including but not limited to;  weddings, fundraisers, seminars, private parties, visiting lecturers, graduations and more.

First Exhibit:

Bionic Me - an interactive exhibit showcasing how new technologies intermingle with our lives debuted in May of 2020 and is slated to run the through October of 2020.
